Can you tell I'm excited about Halloween? It'll be great when my kids are old enough that scary things won't 1) make them cry, 2) run to mom, 3) cause them to seek therapy later in life. Can't wait!
At some point Halloween turned into homeowners scaring the bejeezus out of the trick or treaters instead of being on the receiving end of it all. We're in the not-too-scary camp, too, and fine with it!
